Turn a PDF into a podcast episode — extract the text, then narrate it or have two hosts discuss it. Exports as MP3 with captions.
“It's fast and dead simple to use: paste your text, pick a voice, done. No fuss, no learning curve.”
“VocalLab AI nailed the process, and the output is better. Way better. I love the ability to steer voices and ease of adding emotions/ sighs/ coughs.”

About this tool
A PDF is where documents go to be ignored: the report gets written, circulated and never opened. Pull the text out — Studio reads PDF, DOCX, EPUB and plain text — and either have it narrated straight through or handed to two hosts who talk it over. The second version is the one people finish. There is no optical character recognition here, so a scanned page with no text layer will not work; a normal exported PDF will.

The Long Way Round
Why nobody finishes the side project
Two hosts, one real argument — interruptions and all.
I have four unfinished side projects on this laptop right now, and I want to know why that keeps happening.
Only four?
Don't.
Mine are across two laptops and a notebook I genuinely cannot find. So, four is nothing.
The bit that actually bothers me is that none of them died because they were bad ideas. They died in week three. Every single time.
Because week three is when it stops being the fun version and starts being the real version. That's the whole story, there's nothing else to it.
No, wait — that's too easy. You're saying people quit because work is work?
I'm saying you found time for week one, and week one is the hardest part. So it isn't time.
It is absolutely time! Week one is easy because nobody is waiting on it. Nothing is at stake, so nothing costs anything.
Then put something at stake.
Oh, brilliant. Just care more. Thanks, that'll fix it.
That's not what I— fine. Okay. Not discipline. Find one person who is mildly annoyed you haven't shipped. That's it. That's the whole fix.
Huh. Yeah, alright. That one I'll actually try.
