Multi-Voice Productions
Multi-voice projects let you assign different voices to different tracks — creating realistic conversations, audiobooks with character voices, or multi-host podcasts.
Adding a second voice
- Open your project in Studio
- Click + Add Track below your existing tracks
- Select a different voice from the voice picker
- Type the script for that voice in the new track
Ordering tracks
Tracks play in the order shown — top to bottom. Drag the ⠿ handle on the left of any track to reorder.
Interleaving dialogue
To create back-and-forth dialogue:
- Create one track per "line" of dialogue
- Assign the appropriate voice to each track
- Keep each track short (one sentence or phrase)
- Reorder tracks to match the conversation flow
Example layout:
Track 1 — Voice A: "Hello, how can I help you?"
Track 2 — Voice B: "I need to book a flight."
Track 3 — Voice A: "Sure, where would you like to go?"
Adding pauses between tracks
Click the gap between two tracks to insert a pause. Set the pause duration in milliseconds (500ms = 0.5 seconds).
Using the same voice multiple times
You can add the same voice to multiple tracks — useful when a character speaks several lines with other characters in between.
Voice consistency
Each track generates independently, so the same voice may vary slightly between tracks. For best consistency:
- Use the same voice settings across all tracks for that character
- Avoid very short tracks (less than 3 words) — they may sound clipped
Commercial use
Multi-voice projects follow the same commercial use rules as single-voice generation. See Commercial Use for details.
